Sariska Tiger Reserve: Tiger 2305's pugmark found, went missing for the last two and a half months

News update :Tiger 2305 roaming in Akbarpur range under Sariska Tiger Project has crossed the border of Sariska and reached Bandikui forest area of Dausa division. Forest workers heaved a sigh of relief when the tiger's pugmark was found in Rajgarh forest area on Wednesday. Fortunately, the tiger has gone out of Sariska's border and is returning. Two tigers of Sariska have also gone out these days. One of them has reached the border of Haryana and the other is roaming in Jaipur forest area. Tiger ST-13 has been missing for about two and a half years.

Sariska DFO Abhimanyu Saharan said that the footprints of male tiger 2305 were found on 2 August at Prithvipura Naka under Akbarpur Range. After this, the footprints of the tiger were not being found. A team of forest workers was deployed for monitoring and patrolling of the tiger. After a lot of effort, the forest workers found the footprints of tiger 2305 in Bandikui forest area of Dausa forest division on 17 October. After this, the monitoring team found the tiger's footprints on 19 October. He said that the footprints of tiger 2305 were found in Rajgarh forest area from 20 October to 23 October. This forest area is located near the border of Sariska. At present, a team of forest workers of Dausa forest division, Rajgarh forest division and Sariska is engaged in monitoring tiger 2305.

During monsoon, due to the increase in greenery in Sariska, there is a problem in monitoring tigers. Due to abundant of greenery, tigers sometimes go out of the boundary of Sariska. The Tiger 2305 also went out of the Sariska forest during the monsoon. Rajgarh forest area is connected to the boundary of Sariska due to which tiger 2305 went out of Sariska forest area and reached Bandikui forest area of Dausa division via Rajgarh forest area. Tigers of Sariska have reached this forest area earlier also.
